During your travels on Gaia, you're more than likely going to come across items classified as
game items. You can't equip them, and they stack in your inventory. All of these items can be
traded for something else in some way.
Each exchange is located in a different store:
To exchange items, simply go to the store for the exchange that you want. Below the picture of the
NPC are two buttons (three in Gambino Hat Rack): Talk and Exchange. Click the exchange button to
proceed.

The exchange page will have two boxes with items displayed in them. The first box is a list of
all the different items you have enough materials to exchange for.
Note: In the case of Durem Depot, below the first list is another section for Special Offers. This
section lists the rare bugs you've caught and what inks you'll get from trading them in.
|
To choose the item you wish to exchange for, simply click on it in the exchange list. You will be taken
to a screen where the NPC presents all of your trade in options.
The following instructions apply to these exchanges:
Bug, Fish, Trash
Note: Below the exchange list is a second box, displaying all the items you have available to exchange.
It seems to be simply for your reference, clicking on the icons from the My Items box will not
do anything. (This is something that confuses many people.)
These exchanges are all free, they do not cost any gold in addition to the materials.
This screen displays all of the possible trade in combinations for the desired item.
Direct Item Trades
These trades only require a single type of item. For example, 60 Blue Seedkins for Dark Head Fins. Some
items can have more than one item traded in to obtain them. Below all of the exchanges for a single
one of the selected item is a second list of the same trade in options, but for the highest number
of the item you have supplies for. Example: You have 170 Blue Seedkins. Each Dark Head Fins requires 50
of this fish, so you have enough for 3 (3 x 50 = 150) and have 20 Blue Seedkins left over. Simply click
the button beside the trade you wish to make.
If you don't have enough of a single trade in item, then this section will not appear. Only the next section,
Multiple Item Trades, will be available to you.
Multiple Item Trades
In addition to a straight, simple trade of x amount of y item, some things can have a
combination of different items traded for them, as long as you can meet the total requirements. This
section will list all the different trade ins accepted, with a box to the right for you to enter the
amount you wish to trade. The total required is below the list, along with your current entered total.
Once you have the required total entered, the button to make the exchange will appear to the right of
the total box.

bouquet.
This screen displays the bouquets you have enough flowers and gold for.
- Single Bouquet

- Bouquet
10 flowers, 1,000 Gold
- Deluxe Bouquet

After selecting the size you want to make, Rina will ask if you want to use an
ink to color your paper.
If you're making either a 10 flower or a 25 flower bouquet, the next step asks you to select
a color of ink to use for the ribbon. Only these two sizes have ribbons, single bouquets do not.

Once you've selected the trade you wish to make, the NPC will ask you if you're sure you wish to make
the trade. This is your last chance to cancel if you've changed your mind! Simply click the Yes button
to finish.
